Previous Work Experience For nearly 12 years, Tracy was Director of Benefits & Services for Progressive Corporation, Mayfield Village, Ohio. In this capacity, Tracy was responsible for the strategy and execution of Progressive's benefits programs, including the HR Service Center and other functions.
Prior to Progressive, Tracy was Manager of Hourly Benefits for Alcan Aluminum Corporation, Cleveland, for 9 years. Here, Tracy led negotiations on employee benefits for Alcan's plants across the country. Before Alcan, Tracy was Assistant Benefits Manager at the venerable Hanna Mining Company, where he helped Hanna make the transition from the pre-ERISA world. Tracy started his benefits career in the actuarial department with the Segal Company in Chicago.
Education and Professional Certifications Tracy received his Bachelor's of Arts degree in Literature from the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. He also earned an M.B.A. from Baldwin-Wallace College, and a C.E.B.S. from the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans. Tracy is licensed in the State of Ohio for Life, Accident, Health and Annuities Insurance. He has been a frequent speaker on health care cost management and employee communications.
