Jim Hrivnak

Jim is a consulting associate with The Chelko Consulting Group.  Jim's employee benefits career spans over 25 years.  Jim has managed all aspects of both self-funded and insured health and welfare plans.  He is experienced in benefit strategy, benchmarking, communication and design of benefit plans, as well as vendor and consultant management, ensuring regulatory compliance and plan administration.

Sample Achievements

• Managed health benefits for a large public sector's 30,000 employees and 17,000 retirees in the United States, Canada and Puerto Rico.
• Implemented the Flexible Benefit Program for a large public sector emloyer.
• Assisted in implementation of Emerald Health Network Preferred Provider Organization.

Prior Work Experience
Jim was previously the Director of the Health and Welfare Benefits Department of Eaton Corporation where he was responsible for benefit strategy, outsourcing of plan administration, vendor and union contract negotiations, integration of medical management programs and implementation of various managed care networks and wellness initiatives.  Prior to Eaton, Jim was at Ameritrust Benefits where he was the Supervisor of the Claims Department.  He also gained experience working at Republic/LTV Steel as a benefits analyst.

Education and Professional Certifications
Jim received his Master of Business Administration from Baldwin-Wallace College and his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from John Carroll University.
